Maturity

Technical maturity (TRL-6) established via the validated results of the 'HUMS 2025 Data Challenge'. Condition indicator first identified abnormal failure state 20% into useful life.

For the HUMS 2025 data challenge, we used real-world vibration data from main rotor gearbox tests on the Bell-206B1 Kiowa (OH-58) at the Helicopter Transmission Test Facility (HTTF) at DSTG Melbourne to detect and trend rare gearbox casing fatigue cracks.
